The thing I am most proud of is achieving the SBF scholarship, it has been quite stressful and it has required lots of hard work so I am glad it paid off. In high school, I see myself as a successful student at Rustenburg Girls High, doing many sport and cultural activities and writing for the school newspaper or magazine.

My greatest achievement is getting the SBF scholarship because it is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement and there were hundreds of people who applied for the same scholarship. In high school, I see myself assisting in the Rustenburg Girls High School library, being a part of the drama club and performing in plays and participating against other schools in sports whilst being in the top 20 in the grade.

I am not entirely sure what to be yet when I grow up but I am interested in becoming an Algorithm Specialist or a NASA Scientist. I am sure with SBF on my side I can one day achieve one of these careers. I love being with people but mostly friends and family. I have a great sense of humour but I am serious when it comes to my school work. I hope I will have a great journey with SBF.

I live in Kenilworth with my family. My family consists of seven people. My parents are very supportive and do their best to make us happy and provide us with as many opportunities as possible. I enjoy singing and reading. When I’m older I would like become a lawyer because I would want to make people aware of their rights as South African citizens. My best quality is responsibility, most of the people around me consider me as trustworthy and assign me to many tasks. I want to make the best of high school and grab every opportunity Herschel has to offer. The university I want to attend is UCT or maybe even study overseas.

I personally am a dedicated, outgoing learner who loves to try new things and am generally quite friendly and sociable. Going to Herschel is really an amazing opportunity and will certainly open many doors for me. One of the things I am really looking forward to at high school is making new friends and the outstanding facilities it has. As Maths is my passion, I would like to become a chartered accountant. I would like to study drama and journalism as well. For now, worrying about the future can wait as I want to enjoy every second of high school.

I like going to the beach because it is so refreshing and it makes me happy. My favourite color is yellow. When I finish high school I want to study at UWC and I want to be a surgical doctor.

The biggest challenge facing young children in SA today is drugs. I would like play my part here by giving inspirational talks and workshops to assist those affected by this. Being a part of the SBF Community has prepared me for high school and what is expected of me.

My best advice for primary school learners would be to read as much as possible, pay attention in class and study hard.

To achieve this, I need to be disciplined, tolerant and confident. I plan to become a social worker because I love to work with people, but I also want to help and give back to my community. I love my family because they support me and love me a lot. I love writing essays, poetry and stories. Once I finish school, I hope to go to university and study medicine.
